Get Moving

Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!”  Instantly the leprosy disappeared, and the man was healed.” Mark 1:41-42 NLT

There is nothing worst that being sick. You ache all over and you are just uncomfortable. The phone rings as soon as you fall asleep; the smell of the food makes your stomach upset and you missed that event you’ve been waiting months to attend. But what if you are told that you have to leave your home and family and go outside the city?  Well this is what happened to this man. He had leprosy. That was like having Covid-19 in those days.

So he is living on the outside of the city but even outside the city, he heard the news about what Jesus can do. He decided to take a risk. He was going to leave his assigned dwelling place and go to find Jesus. When he found Him, he knelt before Jesus and said that if Jesus wanted to, He could heal him. Jesus was full of compassion, and healed the man.

Sometimes, you can be like that man in his distress. The obstacles in your life can feel as overwhelming and challenging as the man with his leprosy. When you feel overwhelmed, you don’t have to stay and suffer in silence. The the man with leprosy exercised faith in God and found healing, you can also go to Jesus. He will move with compassion and bring healing in your life.

Thought for Today: You can’t stay where you are

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
