Peace in Your Storm

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah 26:3 NLT

This is a biggie. There are countless people who have no idea what peace of mind feels like. Peace has a vast reach: it encompasses almost every area of your life. The peace I’m talking about today is personal peace. That is, the absence of disquieting thoughts and emotions. Our God gave this conditional promise to His children. You see, it’s dependent on you. The peace comes as you trust in God. Psalm 119:165 says, “Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble.”

Life is a series of storms; storms arise in every area of your life. When the storms of life threaten to toss you overboard, you have to fix your mind on Him and trust Him. Peter found himself in the storm. Since he trusted in God, he was able to walk on the water during the storm. He was stable as long as he looked and fixed his eyes on Jesus. When he became distracted by the waves at his feet, he looked away and he began to sink. Life is full of distractions. You have a choice; you can allow them to distract you and rob you of your peace. However, if you keep your mind fixed on Jesus and continue to trust in Him, you will have peace in the midst of your storms.

Thought for Today: Trust Him, He will speak peace to your storm

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
