Finding Your Way Back

This is true because Christ suffered for our sins once. He was an innocent person, but he suffered for guilty people so that he could bring you to God. His body was put to death, but he was brought to life through his spirit.        1 Peter 3:18 GW

The Bible tells us in Romans “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” We don’t like to think of ourselves as sinners. We like to think we are better than that. Yet the Bible says all; that includes me and it also includes you. So, where do we go from there?

God created man to have fellowship with Him. Man disobeyed the command of God and sin entered the world. As a result, man was removed from the garden and the fellowship between God and man was lost. God’s love for man is so great that He provided a way to restore man. 1 Peter 2:24 says, This is true because Christ suffered for our sins once. He was an innocent person, but he suffered for guilty people so that he could bring you to God. His body was put to death, but he was brought to life through his spirit.”

God sent his Son to redeem man from sin, not for a season but completely. He died so we are not required to pay the penalty for our sins. Paul says in Ephesians 2:8, “God saved you through faith as an act of kindness. You had nothing to do with it. Being saved is a gift from God.” It is within that relationship that we can walk in fellowship with God.

Thought for Today: Salvation is a gift from God

Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.

  1. So true,we feel good when we receive a gift from a friend. So we should be even more grateful for the gift of salvation and guess what? It cost nothing.
