God said, “And who do you think made the human mouth? And who makes some mute, some deaf, some sighted, some blind? Isn’t it I, God? So, get going. I’ll be right there with you—with your mouth! I’ll be right there to teach you what to say.” Exodus 4:11-12 NLT
When I read this I wondered if God ever had to respond to me in this manner. If I had to go through this with someone I would tell them that it’s ok and get the job done myself. But when you think about it, there are many times in life and ministry, we behave like Moses and God has to speak to us like this. He gives us an assignment and we really don’t want to do it. This is an awesome reminder that when God gives you a task, He knows what is needed to get it done.
His last excuse was that he couldn’t can’t speak well. Well if God gave you an assignment to speak, and you have difficulty with language, could it be that in obedience to God, He will work out that issue in your life? When you are tempted to look at how inadequate you are, look at how powerful God is! He knows your weaknesses; He knows what you need to succeed. He will instruct you along the way so you can accomplish what you need for Him. So don’t stand around looking for excuses; get going.
Thought for Today: When in doubt, trust God
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory
God is able to do the impossible
