Just Believe

They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” Acts of the Apostles 16:31 NLT

Many versions of this verse have the word believe. Believe means to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so. To believe there must be someone who is the object of your belief. Your belief is based on the integrity of the person. When you believe on the Lord Jesus, you can have confidence in His ability to do what He said He will do.  There is no way to live victoriously without believing.

Believe is a strong word; it expresses our confidence in God. Hebrews 11:6 says, “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” So just to begin a relationship with God you must believe. God blesses those who believe even when the evidence might not support belief. John 20:29 says, “Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.” So let us not depend on what we can see or feel. We can believe by faith. 2 Corinthians  5:7 says, “For we live by believing and not by seeing.”

Thought for Today: When you believe, things happen!

Have a blessed day walk in faith and victory.
