Let Him Lead

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. Romans 8:14 NLT

It’s impossible to live a victorious life without being led by the Spirit of God. You would like to believe that you can handle your business on your own. But the more issues you face is the more you realize that you can’t do it alone. Your humanity leads you to believe that you are capable of handling everything that comes your way. People are constantly bombarded with testimonials endorsing the do it yourself mindset. While the world follows that system, people of faith, acknowledge that they need to be led by the Spirit of God.

Each individual has to make a choice. You can choose to be led by the Spirit of God or you can choose to lead yourself. Your ego says, “I got this!” Reality steps in and says you are in over your head; you will crash and burn.  Now you have to stop and go to God with the mess you’ve created. How much easier it would have been to turn the issue over in the beginning and watch God work in your situation. There are benefits when you are a child of God. Verse 15 says, “So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”  When you are led by the Spirit of God, you are a child of God.

Thought for Today: Children follow; parents lead.
