Yesterday we said goodbye to 2020 and today we welcome 2021. We have no idea what 2021 holds but the God who holds the future guides our lives. Deuteronomy 31:8 says, “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
When we celebrated the Advent season, we read Matthew 1:23, “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.” Since we know that God is with us, we can face 2021 with confidence.
