We all go through times of hardships but what can we do to ensure that we are successful in the end? That presents a conflict of sorts. In our head we know what we should do but our heart wants to go in a different direction. Our heads say, ‘Let it go,” Our hearts say, “Do you know what they have done to me?” And that battle rages on the inside. The question still remains, what do we do?
Well we have to change our mindset and recognize that those things we see as difficult, can only be accomplished through prayer and spending time with God and studying His word. Humans like to take the easy way out. Why walk when we can drive? Why work when we can play? We love the comforts our lives provide. So, when we are faced with difficulties, we can take an example from the life of Paul.
The Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:13 AMP, “I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]” What is this ‘everything’ he is talking about? He gives insight in verse 12; he said, “I know how to get along and live humbly [in difficult times], and I also know how to enjoy abundance and live in prosperity. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret [of facing life], whether well-fed or going hungry, whether having an abundance or being in need.” In other words, whatever he faces in his life, he has the ability to overcome because he can tap into the power of Jesus Christ and find strength.
What challenges are you facing in your life? I know from experience that life can be difficult. But difficulty lasts for a season. God allows hardship and pain to shape us and polish off our rough edges so He can prepare us for something new and amazing. When you feel like giving up, remember the words of the Apostle Paul; you can do it with His strength and live with confidence.
Thought for Today: Friend, God provides strength during the most difficult periods of our life.
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
God is a waymaker.

Yes, He’s a waymaker, miracle worker, promise keeper, and light in the darkness. He is my God.

How encouraging are these words today. Our family has been going through a difficult period right now but we can say we are self- sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency.
