There are some things that are a must in the walk of faith. One of these is faith. It’s impossible to be alive without the ability to breathe; if you stop breathing, you will stop living. Faith is like the breath of life in the walk of faith.
Somewhat is faith? Well Hebrews 11:1 CEV tells us that “Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see.” When we think about hope, the dictionary says that hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. But when as people of faith we talk about hope; it is so much more. Hope is a strong and confident expectation. What makes hope so strong? Our hope is in God. 2 Timothy 4:10 AMP tells us, “It is for this that we labor and strive [often called to account], because we have fixed our [confident] hope on the living God, who is the [a]Savior of all people, especially of those who believe [in Him, recognize Him as the Son of God, and accept Him as Savior and Lord].”
Our faith lives in our hope. Faith is an important component of the Christian life. We accept all of the promises of God by faith. Hebrews 11:6 AMP says, “But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.” If you are wondering how to get some faith, Romans 12:3 NKJV has the answer. “For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.”
Faith is not magic but rooted to our trust in God. When you think of Abraham waiting for twenty-five years for a son. He was old and his wife was old and barren. He was sure that the thing he hoped for would come to pass because he trusted in the faithfulness of God to do what He said He would do. God does not change: He remains faithful.
Thought for Today: Friend, faith brings hope into reality.
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
