We are social creatures; it is easy to see when children are young. Some of them will talk and play with every person that crosses their path. Then there are others who are very selective. They would play with you if they could hold on to someone they know. Some would wave at you, share their cookie but interact at a distance.
God’s desire is to have fellowship with man. God is holy and that guides our interactions with Him. Matthew 18:20 tells us, “For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”What a wonderful promise! When we come together, as followers of Jesus Christ, the Lord has promised that He would be with us. I wonder if we really believe that.
At times I will say yes. Sometimes I wonder. If we really believe that every time, we come through the church doors the Lord is in the midst, then we would change some of the things we do. It would change some of the things we say. So, as people of faith, in every gathering, whether we are cleaning; or planning ministry activities; having a prayer meeting; or a worship service, whatever the reason for the gathering, be mindful, He is in the midst.
Thought for Today: Friend, God is in our midst.
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.
Amen
