God’s Righteous Right Hand

It’s quite common to hear people talk about that person who helps them more than they would like to admit. That man is their right-hand man. The dictionary defines right hand man as a particularly important assistant who helps someone do a job. However, I believe, there are women who fit this definition also.

So, this tells us the right hand is important. That does not mean that the left hand has no value, both my husband and first son are lefties. This is not literal but figurative. Isaiah 41:10 AMP tells us, ‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’ Here we are talking about God’s right hand.

When we look at the description of God’s right hand in that verse; it makes us stop and think. God’s right hand is a hand of justice. The dictionary defines justice as the condition of being morally correct or fair. When we look at God, He is morally upright. God hates sin yet He sent His son into the world to die for the sin of the world. Romans 3:23 NLT tells us, “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” So, God’s right hand provides salvation.

God’s right hand is a source of power. When we think of the Children of Israel at the Red Sea, we know that there is power in God’s right hand. They were trapped by the Red Sea in the front, the mountains at the sides and the Egyptian army at their back. Yet God’s hand of power brought victory. It doesn’t make a difference what is happening in your life, God’s right hand has the answer we seek.

Though for Today: Friend, seek God’s righteous right hand.

Have a blessed day and walk in faith in victory.
