Safeguarding the Heart

Wale Olasoji said, “No matter how intentional you are to please God, you cannot live beyond what’s in your heart.” The heart is the seat of who we are; it requires that we address all that is happening therein.

Matthew 6:21 AMP

For where your treasure is, there your heart [your wishes, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be also.

Proverbs 4:23 AMP

Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life.

Proverbs 23:7 AMP

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he [in behavior—one who manipulates].
He says to you, “Eat and drink,”
Yet his heart is not with you [but it is begrudging the cost].

Matthew 15:18 AMP

But whatever [word] comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and this is what defiles and dishonors the man.

Luke 6:45  AMP

The [intrinsically] good man produces what is good and honorable and moral out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart; and the [intrinsically] evil man produces what is wicked and depraved out of the evil [in his heart]; for his mouth speaks from the overflow of his heart.
