The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17 NKJV
There are so many stories of abuse at the hands of parents because their babies were crying. Crying serves a purpose in the baby’s life. With the absence of language, the baby has one trumpet to sound to alert the care giver that attention is necessary; the baby cries. That cry brings the parent or caregiver close so they can try to determine what is causing the discomfort. Each parent has a list of things to check. Most begin with the diaper or hunger and move out from there. As people of faith, the same is true for us when we call upon the Lord. There are many issues we face that can only be resolved through intervention from God so we go before God in prayer.
Something happens when we cry out; first the Lord hears us. That is so important for us to know that God hears our prayer. Sometimes you can find yourself in a situation when you need help immediately and the individual responsible to help you ignores your cry. But when we go before God in our distress, He hears us. Then He goes one step further; He intervenes on our behalf. Never be afraid to cry out to the Lord. Jeremiah 33:3 says, Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ When you call on Him He will deliver you from all your troubles.
Thought for Today: God answers when His children call.
Have a blessed day and walk in faith and victory.

God said, call me and I will answer. You see God does not lie. I tried him so I’m a witness. Thank you Pastor Scott for reminding us of his promise.
